Hudson - 4.5 months

So much to catch up on in baby-land! Time flies so fast and then you realize a month or 2 have passed by. We have been having fun visiting family in NY and Seattle. I got a weekend off and went to Denver to visit my friend Jessica on my own for a weekend leaving Dad to take care of Hudson! We are just enjoying watching Hudson change and grow and show his little personality. We took him to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival to see the flowers, we had our first "mommy group" bbq with 8 babies boys hanging in the back yard, he is learning to laugh, play in his doorway jumper, grab things, roll-over and so much more!

I love naked-time!!
smooches!

pretty tulips!

dad always makes me laugh!

I am lounging in this awesome wooden shoe!

Yeah! Happy parents.

Of course we needed a family portrait

These are fun to play with.

Mom cuddles with me.

Hudson - week 12

We have been a little lazy about posting the last month, but we certainly have not been slacking. Hudson is getting to be so much fun and the days go by so fast since he wants to play all day! He smiles all the time, is learning to have conversations with us, cooing like crazy and only getting up 1x a night. What a relief. We have been exploring, had a visit from Uncle Marc, we keep going to mommy group, had a trip to Las Vegas for our friends Chet + Margaret's wedding, baby boot camp (so mom can get a workout) and so much more.

I have learned to pout!

Tummy time is getting a little less scary.

Look, I can do it!

Uncle Marc comes for a visit, before he moved to Switzerland.
Parent day together.

Hmmm. I really do like my Uncle!
Why is he "farting" on my ear?!

Sunny Vegas... too bright for me!

Wow, us boys are handsome.

Smiles for everyone.

I love bath time, then I get to snuggle in a blanket.

More hikes with mom + dad.

More bath time fun!

Hudson - Weeks 7-8!

Hudson is a growing, eating machine... and having lots of adventures—from skiing, to hiking, mommy groups, car shopping and more! We have lots of good days and some really tough days with our little man. He is good at throwing the curve ball when you least expect it, but we are starting to get some real purposeful smiles, which makes it all worth it. He is getting easier to read, and we are learning a bit of a schedule. Finally!

I love sleeping in my Baby Bjorn on hikes!
Eagle Creek is so beautiful, though I slept through it all...

See.. I smile now!
And I get snuggles from Grandma Lisa...

Mom makes me laugh (sometimes!)

Cheese!

I think I am outgrowing the football hold.
My first ride on the light rail to see the car show.

Bath time is not so bad these days.

And I figured out how to roll on my side.

Hudson_Week 6

What a week! He is growing fast, and his true colors are coming out (good + bad!). We get a smile once in awhile and Hudson really is focusing on objects and looking at us more. The days are long and hard, but he is a special little guy!

Let's see.. from Hudson's point of view.... "we checkout the car show, went on some walks, drove Mom crazy when she went to the mall, and still hate the car seat. But I am a good boy and can't wait to see what this week brings along!"

Hi! I am being cute before I freak out!

I am not sure if I like you taking my picture.

Wow, this world is so big!

And I am really pissed off!

I feel curious now...

I can hold my head up even more! And see my strawberry blonde hair.

I don't always like bath time, but it's more fun with mom!

Hudson_week 5

Hudson had a busy week! We had a visit from Grandpa Johnny, Auntie Michelle, Cousin Michelle + Jimmy, who snuggled with Hudson all afternoon. He is really getting strong and holding his head up more and starting to focus on people and items. And of course he had his first trip to the ski slopes at Mt. Hood Meadows. He can't miss a powder day! Randy and I only got to take a few runs each taking turns, but something is better than nothing!

Still learning to deal with the lack of sleep, the need to do something in the short windows between feedings and the overtake of baby stuff coating the house. But watching him change is the best part!

Look at me, I can hold me head up!

We love to play in the snow!

Dad makes sure the car is all cleared off.

Mom is happy that she got to make some turns, while I stayed in the lodge warm and cozy.

Family time is fun, especially meeting new people and hanging with Grandpa and Auntie!

Dzus (the dog) loved meeting me...

And Cousin Michelle knew how to hold me just right!
