Baby Bump 31 weeks - The Pumpkin Patch

Sunday was an amazing fall day to check out The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island, just on the other side of Portland. We took off to meet our friends Sarah + Andy with their baby Ally to go pick some pumpkins, go through a corn maze and get some fresh produce to go. It was warm, sunny and a blast. We were all on the hunt for the perfect pumpkin to take home (with hundreds of other people having the same idea!) We had some good laughs and Randy sure did his part to make me smile!!! I feel so lucky to go through this with Randy.

Baby Bump 29 weeks - Fly fishing on the Kalama River

So all summer we have been waiting for a perfect day to learn to fly fish for Steelhead. We hired a awesome guide to take us on his raft down the Kalama River in Washington. The weather worked out, it only rained a little, my waders still fit (I was a little worried about that!), and we went home with an awesome fish to fillet up. Randy was the lucky fish winner this time, but it is his birthday this week, so he deserves it!

We have only gone fly fishing for trout over the years and it is a huge expense to get into the set-up for Steelhead, so we wanted to do it right with an expert to teach is the ropes. We have a long way to go... patience is a virtue, and the prize was huge! And I was glad I could still climb in and out of the raft!

Baby Bump 28 weeks

Things are changing fast and life is slowing down! (A broken toe will help you slow down, too.) We are enjoying our free time in Portland while we have it, and I have been trying to get around as much as I can before we are in "lock-down"! Randy and I took our friend Tiffany for a scenic flight around the area, I took a day on my own to see the Japanese Gardens and the Rose Gardens that are famous here, and of course knitting away to have some fun things for baby.

Baby Bump 26 weeks + Intrepid in NYC

What a crazy week! I did one of my whirlwind tours back to NY + NJ to see family and friends. Spending time with my brother and his awesome family, my mom, my dad, my grandma, and the multiple trips to NYC to see my friends that are still hanging in the city. It seems that most are leaving but it is fun to see those that have known me the longest!


Attached are some fun photos of my sister-in-law Mags and my cute nephews Jake (the redhead) + Luke. We took them to see the Intrepid in NYC — the aircraft carrier that is now a museum. It was a perfect place to take two rowdy little boys! Marc (my brother) did not join on us this trip to the city and Randy was working this week. So he was not able to come. Saving up vacation days for when our baby comes along! It was a wonderful trip and next they all see me, I should have a baby in my arms.

Baby Bump - 24 weeks ... Airshow, Zoo + the Beach!

We have been busy getting lots of fun activities in while the weather is still amazing here in Portland! And so far still feeling strong, trying to get out an hike, do yoga, some sculpture classes and more. Our little baby is a kicking machine, giving me the harder punches everyday. 4 more months until we get to meet this little person, it really is amazing. I am growing at a rapid rate now... oh the joys!

Baby Bump - 22 weeks + the Clark County Fair!

We are sure past the half way point and fitting in as much as we can before I totally slow down! On Saturday, Randy and I went for a great 5 mile hike up Angel's Rest in the Columbia River Gorge that climbs 1300 vertical feet. I hiked it in my record slow time, but it felt good to get some exercise. Sunday we hit up the Clark Country Fair with a bunch of friends to check out the Monster Truck show (way too loud!), some games, rides and animals.

Baby Bump - 21 weeks + Wydaho!

Still feeling good this week, and the little monster is a dancing fool in my belly! I am getting bigger, slowing down and doing the best I can.

We decided to drive back to Victor, Idaho this weekend for 4 days and have a whirlwind trip back to visit our friends, our home and where our hearts are. We went fishing, hiking and visited everyone we could. It was so sad to leave again, but looking forward to going back whenever we can!
